Our Favorite tradition is to pack up the kids and the dogs and get our Christmas tree in the mountains. We have a doggone good time!!!
I have too many to pick just one that is my favorite.... I love our tradtion of getting pajamas christmas eve so that we are comfy and cute for presents. :-)
I know what the giveaway is...and even though I know what it is, I will still tell you our favorite tradition. We started this a few years ago. It is the first tradition James and I have with the kids. We go to lunch and to the Visitors Center Christmas eve or the day before. It starts our emphasis on Christ before Christmas day. It really adds the spirit of Christ in our home.
We also do the jammies on Christmas Eve, but a few years ago, the kids started acting out the nativity and setting up the decorations, etc. It was a suprise for Mike and I the first year and they have loved doing it each year since and we sooo look forward to their special touch on such a wonderful event! This year, they are excited because we have a REAL baby for Jesus!
Santa always gives our kids an ornament for Christmas. It was so much fun dividing them up to their owners this year and then decorating the tree with decorations that are far from fancy, but carry memories of Christmases past.
Hmmmm... I'm wondering what the giveaway is! I'm so impressed with the generosity this time of year! I'll have to have come up with my own for next year.
Well hello there! I ran across your blog so I hope you don't mind that I leave you a comment!
We have a couple traditions that we do, One is to go up and cut our trees down in the mountains. We let the kids get there own "tree" also. Two- We also let the kids choose their own ornaments for the tree. They get to do this every year and its exciting to see what the come up with.
Kinda like what Christina said, our tree doesn't have a specific "theme" but it is full of memories every year when we pull them out again! Fun times!
Let me know if you would like an invite to my blog! The whole private thing! :)
Shoot me an email at schmardy@gmail.com and I will get you on!
Merry Christmas
